Blog-Poll Results!

Voting has now closed!

I want to start out by saying a big thank-you to all who voted on the re-launch of my blog-poll. The turn out was huge with over 185 votes, which was way more than the 50 or so that I was hoping for. :-)

This poll has had many drawbacks, but I hope to turn these negatives into points to learn from in the future.

Obviously I spoke before about how it was clear to see that somebody had placed 30+ votes for one option in a short space of time, which severely altered the results, as the winning option has only got around 50 votes, so you can see how much of an impact that would have. On a side note – thanks to the gentleman who e-mailed me and owned up to doing this, your honesty is much appreciated! :-). However, it’s unclear to see if there were other issues with any other options, although nothing jumps out, perhaps a couple of people placing 5 or 6 votes wouldn’t stand out by itself, but could still impact the result significantly. So, I honestly can’t stand by the results of this poll being true and genuine, which is unfortunate.

But alas, we will move on, and I’ve already implemented the disabling of multiple voting to the above issues happening again. I was happy with the time-length of the poll – around the 3 week mark does get maximum exposure whilst not keeping it running too long. And another idea I’ve been pondering is to either shorten the options you have, or eliminate the least popular as we go along. For example, you had 8 choices on this one, which could be seen as too many, it would have been great to have had a evenly fought fight between 3 or 4 instead, as it would have been interesting to take the votes that were placed for the bottom 3 or 4 (some may call these ‘pointless votes’, like voting for the Green Party in the General Election etc lol) and see where those votes would have been placed out of the top three or four options. The alternate would have been to start with the 8 options, but then at the end of week 1, drop the two lowest scores, and then at the end of week 2, drop the next two lowest scores, and people can come back and revise their vote if their option has been eliminated early. I may look at implementing this for future polls. I hope to post another 2 polls this year at least, ideas permitting. Feedback for improvements is always appreciated.

The Question was...
For one week in March, I’m going to have the word “slut” written on my body in marker pen, and you get to choose where I have it written. After the challenge is over, I will write a blog about the week, talking about what I had to do to disguise it, who may have seen it, reactions by people, and how I felt etc.

1st – on my thigh at stocking top level – 30% (56 votes)
2nd – on the outside of my ankle – 27% (50 votes)
With the revised rules I posted, these two are the joint winners, and will get 3 days each.

3rd – on my breast – 27% (50 votes) – I know, technically joint 2nd, but I over-ruled it as it was artificially high!
4th – on the inside of my wrist – 8% (14 votes)
5th – on my lower back – 3% (6 votes)
6th – on my lower thigh – 3% (5 votes)
7th – on the back of my neck – 2% (4 votes)

Am I happy with the results?
I’m pretty happy with the two winners. I couldn’t say my favourite before, but I think my favourite two were upper thigh and wrist. Upper thigh as I love any reason to flash some stocking tops and thigh! Lol. And wrist because it has the most possibilities in every-day life. Anything from general movements at work, to handing money over in shops and bars, and countless other ways where it will be potentially on display so easily, and it’s easy to forget it’s there as well, which offers a lot of ways it would have been seen before I’d even realised I needed to try and hide it. I was surprised it didn’t get more votes, but it obviously wasn’t too popular with you guys, and that’s fair enough, you’re in control!! Ankle has many possibilities too, and I’m glad that closed the gap on breast, which was the hardest to do anything with in ordinary life.

When will I be completing my challenge?
Within the next two weeks, I just need to work out the best schedule for it, to get the most out of it. My blog about what happened wouldn’t be much fun if I just said, “stayed at home for three days”, would it? Lol

What kind of things will I be doing whilst having ‘slut’ written on my thigh or ankle?
Lots of things, depending on when we think it will best fit in with my planned activities will depend on what outings they get. From my regular office day job, working at my bar job, going to the gym (in my short hot-pants style shorts), going to college on a weekend, I have a potential work night out coming up, a potential girls night out, I may try and squeeze in a dinner out for myself and J with some friends, maybe a shopping trip (trying on lots of shoes perhaps)... lots of possibilities. I just need to get the schedule right to get the best out of each one, as I want to do three consecutive days of each, so Sun-Tues with the one for example, and then Fri-Sun with the other. I don’t mind the break in the middle, but I don’t want to do thigh on Monday, ankle on Tuesday, thigh on Wednesday etc.

Do you have any say on what I do and wear whilst I do the challenge?
If you’re quick, then yes, get your suggestions in over the next 3-5 days and they’ll definitely be considered. Well, I’ll pass them onto J and he’ll tell me if there’s anything he specifically wants me to do or wear, or how to go about potentially flashing my “tattoo”, from your suggestions, or from his own perverted mind.

When will I blog the details of how it went?
As soon as possible upon full completion, so I’d probably say within about 3 weeks from now hopefully, definitely before the end of March anyway.
