There's a couple of words in the English language that I like a lot.
SHOES
SALE
So imagine my joy when we hit the post Christmas period, and the glorious words Shoe and Sale combine together to make possibly my favourite phrase in the entire world... SHOE SALE!! And this year the sales were tremendous value!
Now I like shoes, I like buying shoes, and upon counting my collection recently it was discovered that I have over 55 pairs if you include everything from heels to flats to sandals to flip flops to trainers. But there comes a time in a girls life when she has to part with a few pairs of shoes from her much loved collection... but only to make room so I can buy new pairs of course!!
And the bargains to be had this year in the sales were great, I could have bought another 50 pairs with all the shoes that I saw and liked.
I went to popular and trendy shoe store tReds while I was away over Christmas, and managed to not only get me one pair of shoes, but two pairs of shoes. A lovely pair of purple peep toes with a 4" heel, and a pair of black patent leather 5" heels with an ankle strap. And how much did I pay I hear you all ask... £14.99 each!!
I also found some great deals in budget retailer Primark. I'm not the biggest fan of Primark and I've never bought shoes from there before, but I am a bargain hunter, so I do get the occasional few things from there, such as underwear, jeans, and just general casual wear. So whilst looking around I found a fabulous pair of bright pink high heel shoes that I knew I must have. And again, I spent under £20!
And then we had good old TK Maxx (or TJ Maxx as my American friends may know it as), who I always find great for shoe bargains. Seriously, the amount of pairs of shoes I've purchased from there for around £10-£20 over the years would amaze you. I can assure you, while I'm still buying shoes, TK Maxx will stay in business!! So if any TK Maxx employees are reading, your job is safe, the recession won't hit you!! lol. You just have to catch the right store on the right day and you can find something you love for a price you'll love even more, which is what I did earlier this month, finding two pairs of shoes for the combined price of £35. One was a very cheap pair of green tartan print high heels, probably still there and so low priced because nobody else would wear them, but I like them, they are kind of cute, so I bought them, and for just £7.99, why wouldn't I? The other pair was a more expensive pair of grey high heels.
I bought another two pairs of shoes from other stores in the sales as well, so I ended up with a whole 7 new pairs of shoes, but I spent less than £140 on them all... that's less than £20 per pair... am I a great bargain hunter or what!! Well I am considering that amount of money wouldn't even buy half the left shoe of a few of my better more expensive pairs of shoes!! lol
Sorry to bore you with my sale shopping - what can I say, I just love shoes!! lol
